
Hunger strike in Sulaymaniyah on its 15th day

	NEWS CENTER - 3 of the teachers on hunger strike in Sulaymaniyah due to non-payment of their salaries were hospitalised.

	The hunger strike launched by teachers in front of the United Nations building in Sulaymaniyah city of the Federated Kurdistan Region due to non-payment of their salaries continues on its 15th day.

	&nbsp;

	Dr Hêriş Seyîd Salîm, Deputy Director General of Sulaymaniyah Health Administration, announced that the health condition of three teachers in the strike worsened and they were hospitalised. Dr Selîm stated that the teachers are still under medical control.

	&nbsp;

	Halabja and Sulaymaniyah shopkeepers closed their shutters for 1 hour in support of the protest.

	&nbsp;

	The interim government of the Federated Kurdistan Region continues to remain indifferent to the teachers' demands.
