Photographs of murdered women journalists burnt 2025-02-12 11:54:38 NEWS CENTRER- The billboard with the photographs of Gulistan Tara and Hêro Behadîn, who were killed in Turkish drone attack, was vandalised and burnt. Journalists Gulistan Tara and Hêro Behadîn, who were killed by Turkey in an airstrike on 23 August 2024 in Seyîdsadiq district of Sulaymaniyah in the Federated Kurdistan Region, were named after the street where they were killed. On 10 February, with the participation of many journalists and activists, a commemoration ceremony was held at the place where Gulistan Tara and Hêro Behadîn were murdered. During the commemoration, a billboard with the photographs of the journalists was hung at the place where they were murdered. The street was named "Martyred Journalists Gulistan Tara and Hêro Behadîn Street".   According to the news in Rojnews, the billboard with the photographs of the two journalists was vandalised and then burnt. No official statement has been made yet about who or by whom the attack was carried out.   On 23 August 2024, an airstrike targeted a free press vehicle belonging to CHATR Production in Seyîdsadiq district of Sulaymaniyah. Journalists Gulistan Tara and Hêro Behadîn were killed and 6 journalists were wounded in the attack.
