
Peace process requires negotiation says Bafel Talabani

	NEWS CENTRE - PUK Chair Bafel Talabani stated that they support the process led by Abdullah Öcalan and said that the peace process requires negotiation.&nbsp;

	Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Chair Bafel Jalal Talabani attended the International Dialogue Conference in Baghdad. Talabani spoke about the discussions on the Kurdish issue. Talabani stated that the ğeace process requires dialogue and negotiation and said, "As PUK, we are in favor of peace and we support the current process." Calling on all countries for the success of the process, Talabani added, "Kurds have been struggling against the Turkish government for 40 years. There is not a single Kurdish family whose family memebers have not been massacred by Turkey. &nbsp;Kurds have witnessed the massacres perpetrated by the Turkish state against them."

	Drawing attention to the developments in Syria and North and East Syria, Talabani said, "The Kurds in Syria are not at peace. General Mazloum (Abdi) is under pressure because ISIS is not over. On the contrary, it is growing. According to the available statistics, there is an increase in ISIS attacks. Due to the growing threat of ISIS, international countries need to reconsider the situation in Iraq and Syria."
