Thousands pour into Amed

NEWS CENTER - Citizens in Dêrsim, Riha and Êlih set out for Amed accompanied by the chant "Em bernadin vê dilanê" and halays. 
 
Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party İmralı Delegation will make a statement after its meeting with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Preparations in cities for Abdullah Öcalan's historic call, which will be shared with the public in Istanbul, continue. In thsi context citizens from many cities set out for Amed (Diyarbakır). 
 
Citizens travelled with great enthusiasm from Dêrsim (Tunceli), Êlih (Batman), many districts of Riha (Urfa) to watch the call live on the LED screens set up in Sheikh Said Square in Sur district of Amed. The masses danced halay in the buses to the tune of "Em bernadin vê dilanê (a Kurdish resistance song)".
