6 more people with the HDP in Mersin

MERSİN - Six people, including HDP Akdeniz Municipality council member Salih Akbaş, were detained.

 
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Akdeniz Municipality council member and HDP group co-spokesperson Salih Akbaş as well as Şahize Akbaş, Aziz Akbaş, İlhan Akbaş, Esma Bakır and Ramazan Bakır were taken into custody.
 
Akbaş and 5 people were detained following simultaneous raids, and were taken to Mersin Provincial Security Directorate.
 
No information could be obtained about the reason for the detention but a 24-hour lawyer ban was imposed on the detained people.
