ANKARA - Accusations included in the summaries prepared against HDP MPs goes back to a decade. HDP Group Deputy Chairperson Merak Danış Beştaş said: "They are filing new Google cases."

The Kobanê summaries prepared about Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chairperson Pervin Buldan and 8 deputies were sent to the Joint Committee of the Constitutional and Justice Commissions. While the MPs were held responsible for the events that took place in the Kobanê protests that took place between 6-8 October 2014, the statements, social media activities, party activities made by the MPs after and before 2014 were also included in the summary.

MATERIAL ERRORS

Both content and material errors draw attention in the criminal allegations that are the subject of the report. On the first page of the report prepared against HDP İzmir Deputy Serpil Kemalbay, it was seen that the name of HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan's name was written in the investigation file.

PARTICIPATING IN NEWROZ CELEBRATIONS IS A CRIME

The summary prepared against HDP Group Deputy Chair Meral Danış Beştaş includes the fact that she participated in the March 8 events and Newroz celebations, her tweets about Boğaziçi protests, her showing pictures of Figen Yüksekdağ, Selahattin Demirtaş and other imprisoned HDP MPs, her interviews to the press and the press releases she held at the parliament.

Stating that the summaries against the members of parliament aims to drive HDP from democratic politics, Beştaş said: "There are 6 or 7 summaries against me because I participated in March 8 rallies. There are summaries against most of the female MPs for participating in the March 8 rallies. Participating in Newroz celebrations considered to be a crime in all of the summaries. What is the difference of the HDP from other political parties that there are hundreds of summaries against us? We are not accused of theft, bribery, corruption, kidnapping, injuring, or misconduct in our summaries. There is a legal pressure on the HDP with the instruction of the government.

'NEW GOOGLE CASES'

Beştaş said: "We are saying the same things we said back in 2011 about peace in Turkey, freedoms, the constitution and the Kurdish problem. It's been 10 years, why haven't you investigated us during that 10  years? Why now? You are googling stuff to accuse us. Years ago when there was a law suit filed against Erdoğan, he said it was a 'Google case'. What happens to us today is the same. They are googling old news, nothing is hidden, it's all there. It has always been there."

Beştaş said: "They are trying to make it look like HDP MPs are crime machines. New summaries come on a daily basis. And they are all based on instructions given by the government. Prosecutors file law suits against us according to the discourse of the government."
