NEWS CENTER - Tens of thousands of people from all over the world who took to the streets against the October 9 Conspiracy that forced PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan to leave Syria, demanded the freedom of Öcalan.

The international conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is being held under severe isolation conditions in İmralı Type F Closed Prison, which started on October 9, 1998, has left 24 years behind. The conspiracy against Öcalan was protested all over the world yesterday.

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA

Northern and Eastern Syria, where the first steps of the conspiracy was planned and put into effect, became one of the centers of the protests. Thousands of immigrants from Shehba and Afrin protested the international conspiracy against Öcalan with a march they organised. In Qamishlo, Hesekê, Derik, Girkê Legê, Çilaxa and Til Koçer, thousands of people protested the conspiracy, which they described as a "black day".

MASS PROTESTS

Thousands of people took to the streets yesterday in many cities including Diyarbakır, Van, Ağrı, Şırnak, Urfa, Hakkari, İstanbul and İzmir. Despite the police attacks and the threat of detention, the conspiracy was condemned with marches and press releases. While the main slogan in the demonstrations was "Bijî serok Apo", the main demand was the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.

PROTESTS ALL OVER EUROPE

People from contries like Sweden, England, France and Finland also took to the streets. Kurds living in Stockholm held a rally with posters of Öcalan and a banner written "The freedom of Leader Apo is my freedom".

Signatures were also collected during the march to remove the PKK from the EU's "terrorist organizations list".

With the call of the London Kurdish People's Assembly, a rally was held in Dalston. Slogans in favor of Öcalan were frequently shouted during the protest that started in front of the Dalston Community Center building.

Protests against the conspiracy took place in the French cities of Bordeaux and Toulouse and in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
