DİYARBAKIR - Women journalists being held in Diyarbakır condemned the murder of Nagihan Akarsel and said, "We promise to follow Nagihan's path."

 

4 women journalists who were arrested within a the scope of an operation held in Diyarbakır on 8 June condemned the murder of Nagihan Akarsel. Jinnews News Director Safiye Alağaş, Remziye Temel, Neşe Toprak and Elif Üngür expressed their condolences to Akarsel's family and colleagues in a message they sent via their lawyers.

 

The message of the four female journalists is as follows; “We, as women journalists, condemn the murder of Nagihan. The murder of Nagihan is an attack on both women's struggle and Jineology studies. We, the women, are aware of this. We promise to follow Nagihan's path. Our condolences to his family and colleagues.”
