GAZİANTEP - Musa Köse, who was pulled out of the rubble in Îslahiye, which was half destroyed in the earthquake, said that the message "We are alive" was received from those who were in the same rubble, but there was no search and rescue efforts.

In the Îslahiye district of Gaziantep, which was affected by the earthquakes in Maraş, the people left behind another difficult day. While many bodies were removed from the wreckage in the district, where AFAD teams arrived 20 hours later, it is feared that the death toll will increase due to the inadequacy of the teams. Citizens who say, "We are abandoned alone," and condemn the state and AKP government.

Musa Köse, who was removed from the rubble of Sefa Apartment Building in Atatürk District and still has relatives in the rubble, informed that 4 bodies and 1 injured person have been removed since yesterday, and that at least 15 people are still in the rubble. Köse said: "The message "We are alive" was sent from the people in the wreckage, but there was no intervention, and noted that the district was flattened and the authorities still did not reach the area. The citizens in the district are trying to do something with their own means. Food does not come from outside. If food and tents come, people take shelter. People either go to the village or stay in their cars. Fires are burning in the streets. The biggest problem is fuel. There is no tube anywhere. Nobody can take their children's belongings. People came out of the rubble in their pajamas. Tents be set up as soon as possible, people shelter. We want to catch up with the victims inside, dead or alive. We should do what we can."

'CHANCE SHOULD BE GIVEN US'

A woman named Güllü, who came to the district from Gaziantep after the earthquake, said: "When I arrived, I saw that there was no effort. I wrote to the National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) and the Presidency, we received the response that there is density everywhere, but my hometown, İslahiye, is destroyed. Our hearts are burning. Chance should be given to us."

'THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT COME TO THE REGION FOR VOTE TIME'

Güllü, who only wanted the government not to come to the "vote time", continued as follows: "What can we say, we have a lot of pain. We buried 6 people. We slept with those bodies, no one was interested. The authorities come and look, they do nothing. Is this the power of state? There are still people who want help under the rubble but no one can do anything.. We are so helpless with uncertainty.``
