DİYARBAKIR- Enes Gündüz, who was waiting for hopeful news from the Gündüz family, who is under rubble of the Galeria Business Center in Amed, said: “The rescue teams are very few, the cranes are in trouble, whatever concrete piece they touch is stuck, their ropes break. The pro-media is reporting false news.”

While the death toll increased in the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centered in Maraş, thousands of people are still under the rubble in 10 cities. In Diyarbakır, which was affected by the earthquake, the people, who see the search and rescue efforts in the wreckage areas for 3 days as insufficient, condemned the government and the municipalities under the administration of trustees.

Enes Gündüz, a relative of the 6-person Gündüz family, who is under the rubble of the 12-storey Galeria Business Center on Elazığ Street in the Yenişehir district, has been waiting for good news for 3 days. At the same time, Gündüz, who could not hear from his cousin Semanur Özoy, who is under a 9-storey building in the center of Adıyaman, condemned the inadequacy of the search and rescue efforts and the news of the pro-media.

'PRO-MEDIA IS REPORTING FALSE STORY NEWS'

Emphasizing that there was no progress in the search and rescue efforts, Gündüz said: “We have been here for 3 days, 6 of our family members are under the rubble and there is no progress. The search and rescue teams are incompetent and they don't let us help. The pro-media is reporting false story news. It does not tell the truth. We are very disturbed by this. More than 100 people are under the rubble and they are not letting the public get involved. Maybe they would have been rescued more quickly if they had let the public on day one. Crews are few and there is no progress. Cranes are troubled, whatever concrete piece they touch collapses, their ropes break. There is no progress. That's why we have no hope left."
