ADIYAMAN - It turned out that the AFAD officers who arrived 36 hours later in Adıyaman, where the search and rescue teams were insufficient, were untrained people dressed in "volunteer" shirts.

 

The search and rescue teams are not sent enough for citizens under the rubble of Adıyaman which is the epicenter of which was most affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. While the official statements in the city have not gone beyond saying "works are in progress", the citizens are doing the search and rescue efforts by their own means. untrained AFAD volunteers on the field in Sur.

 

AFAD VOLUNTEER: WE DO NOT HAVE ANY TRAINING

 

A young, who is "AFAD Volunteer" who was dressed in a shirt, said: "The search and rescue teams were insufficient. We came voluntarily. We don't have any training. We are not a rescue team. We only try to help someone in need. We sleep on the bus. If someone distributes something, we eat them too or we are hungry. The professional team ,who came from abroad, thought everything, they could eat what they wanted to eat because they brought the food with them. This explains both the deplorable state of AFAD and their admiration for the professional team."
