Sixth day of the earthquake: Emergency calls for help

NEWS CENTER - Citizens mobilized to heal the wounds of earthquake survivors, stating that there are still places where help does not reach, and want urgent needs to be reached as soon as possible.
 
According to the statement, the number of people, who lost their lives in the earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 that occurred on February 6 in the Pazarcık district of Maraş and affected 11 cities, namely Maraş, Gaziantep, Urfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Adıyaman and Harput, exceeded 20 thousand. On the 6th day, there are still thousands of people waiting to be pulled out from under the rubble. Earthquake survivors are looking for ways to shelter by their own means in freezing temperatures. Condemning the government continued in many villages and districts where aid did not reach.
 
The images taken by Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporters who witnessed the earthquake victims' revolt reveal the destructiveness of the earthquake.

Mehmet Fatih Özdemir from İslahiye, where a large part of it was destroyed due to the earthquake, said: "If they want to see the power of the state, they should look the situation of people in here,"

The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced that as of February 11 at 01:50, the death toll reached 20,318. According to AFAD's statement, 1700 aftershocks occurred after the earthquakes centered in Maraş, Pazarcık and Elbistan districts.
 
07:50 - 122 HOURS AFTER VICTIMS ARE TAKEN OUT OF THE RUBBLE
 
Maşallah Çiçek, 55, was rescued after 122 hours from the rubble in Sözel Apartment Building on Kurtismailpaşa 2nd Street, in the central Yenişehir district, which was destroyed in the earthquake. 70-year-old Menekşe Tabak was rescued from the rubble of Aydın Apartment Building on Azerbaijan Boulevard in Maraş Onikisubat district after 122 hours.
 
02:12 - The people who booed the Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, who came to the earthquake area in Diyarbakır, said: "The state is over."
