Mazlum Ebdi: We will protect the Rojava revolution until the end

NEWS CENTER - SDF General Commander Mazlum Ebdi, who attended the ceremony held in Hesekê for the 9 YAT fighters who lost their lives in the helicopter crash in the Federated Kurdistan Region, said that they will protect the gains of the Rojava revolution and the peoples until the end.

A ceremony was held at the Serdem Stadium in Hesekê for the 9 YAT fighters who lost their lives as a result of the crash of two helicopters on March 15 in the city of Sulaymaniyah in the Federated Kurdistan Region. The bodies taken from the Martyr Sarya Hospital were brought to Serdem Stadium by a convoy and carried to the stadium on shoulders. Speaking at the ceremony attended by thousands of people, Democratic Syrian Forces (SDF) General Commander Mazlum Ebdi expressed his condolences to all the families of the martyrs and the families of the 9 YAT fighters. Stating that they are proud of themselves as the comrades of the martyrs, Ebdi continued: "On behalf of the SDF Command, we salute all our people and comrades who are here today and share our pain. We would like to thank many of our friends who helped us bring our martyrs here."

Ebdi said: "We bid farewell to the 9 heroes of the Rojava Revolution, the martyrs who led the SDF and our people in the war against terrorism. The martyrs will surely bring their work to success."

CALL FOR YOUTH

Emphasizing that they will protect the gains of the Rojava revolution and the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria until the end, Ebdi said: “By protecting the SDF and all our institutions, we will bring them to an invincible level. The SDF will never be defeated. On this sad day, in the presence of the young martyrs of our people, we call on all peoples and youth to join the ranks of the YAT and to protect the achievements of our revolution against the enemies.”

'THIS FLAG WILL FLOW UNTIL WE GET THE VICTORY'

Ebdi said in his speech: “The flag of Martyr Şervan and his 8 comrades will never fall, it will always be in the hands of their comrades and will fly until they achieve victory. He finished with the words "Martyrs are immortal".

After the speeches, the bodies of 9 fighters were sent off to their hometowns accompanied by slogans.
