MERSIN - Mersin Provincial Organization of the Green Left Party condemned the racist attacks against their parties and made a statement and said. "These people will give the necessary answer at the ballot boxes on May 14."

The Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) Mersin Provincial Organization made a statement at the party building regarding the racist attacks during the election campaign. The executives of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and the Workers' Party of Turkey (TIP) also participated in the statement.
Green Left Party Provincial Spokesperson Zeliha Burcu Acar said that the attacks were fictionalized by the AKP-MHP government.

Acar said: "The AKP and MHP fascist alliance have already seen that they will leave. They know well that the May 14 elections will be their sad end. The government, which is experiencing a period of collapse, has acceptance problems. That's why they are doing what they know best; they resort to violence. They are trying to intimidate, trying to undermine our success. But in vain, we will not give up and we will win big together with the people."

ATTACKS

Acar listed the recent attacks as follows:

"* The incident experienced by HUDA-PAR members who were working on a booth in Çay Mahallesi Bekirde Yolu on May 1 was associated with our party and a provocation was tried to be produced.

* On May 3, we invited our people to use common sense against an attacker's provocation against our administrators on the coast of Viranşehir in our Mezitli district and predicted that such provocations would develop.

* On May 6, the Mayor of the Mediterranean, Mustafa Gültak, attacked our HDP Council members on the basis of "national values", in a speech he gave to a television channel at the AKP rally. However, behind the curtain, of course, was the sale of a land that was in the public domain at a cheap cost. Gültak, who did not reduce his irregularities despite the warnings of our council members to "defend the property and rights of the people", again tried to cover up these irregularities by citing "national values".

* A fascist attack with a knife and stick was carried out by a racist group from the MHP against our friends in our announcement vehicle, which was carrying out election campaigns in our Tarsus district yesterday at noon. Despite the common sense of our friends, the attack of the racist group did not cease and 5 of our friends were injured.

* On the same day, Ekrem İmamoğlu and the CHP base were attacked with stones in Erzurum. These attacks against the people will not achieve their purpose."

Pointing out that they will continue their work uninterruptedly, Acar said: "Those who try to harm the peace and tranquility of Turkey, especially in Mersin, these people will give the necessary answer at the ballot boxes on May 14. We should not be provoked."
