WAN - Women from Rojhilat said that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's philosophy of "jin, jiyan, azadi" inspired the resistance in Iran and said: "Öcalan's freedom is the freedom of the Kurds, everyone should fight for this."

PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's "Women's Libertarian, Ecological, Democratic Paradigm '', which global powers planned to destroy with an international conspiracy, gave hope to the people of the world. Abdullah Öcalan, who was placed in severe isolation conditions on İmralı Island, where he was brought following an international conspiracy, said that the women's freedom struggle was "my unfinished project". Abdullah Öcalan, who laid out the road map of the women's freedom struggle with the thesis "Unless women are liberated, society cannot be liberated" in İmralı, became the architect of the "Jin, jiyan, azadi" philosophy.

This slogan, raised by the women of Rojhilat in Iran after the murder of Jîna Emînî by the regime forces, echoed around the world. Sahar Razavi and Fatemeh Abbasi, women activists from Rojhilat, stated that the idea of Abdullah Öcalan, which inspires women, is the key to freedom and underlined that women's freedom is possible by embracing this idea.

THE IDEA OF ABDULLAH ÖCALAN

Stating that the "jin, jiyan, azadi" slogan, which is the basic slogan of the actions that affected Iran, was born from the idea of  Abdullah Öcalan, Razavi said: "Women needed a philosophy that guided their lives and actions. This philosophy ensured this. The murdered woman was Kurdish and a Kurdish woman shouted this slogan and it later spread. People wondered about the meaning and direction of this philosophy, they read and listened. They even translated Öcalan's speeches into Persian. They listened, discussed and went out to the fields before going to the protests. Of course, the slogan also had a reflection on the action; men, who previously did not want to come together with women and take part in the protests, joined the protests behind the women. They accepted them as their pioneers, which led us to the thesis 'Society cannot be liberated unless women are liberated'. Dozens, even hundreds of men, who previously did not care about women's rights, resisted this issue with women."

'ÖCALAN GAVE THE KEY OF FREEDOM TO WOMEN'

Emphasizing that all women's demands are united in this slogan, Razavi said that Abdullah Öcalan gave the key of freedom to them. Razavi said: "Iranian women were influenced by Kurdish women. Kurdish women formed the basis of the protests. The first women to throw off their scarves and dance were Kurds, and later similar images appeared in other parts of Iran. It was Kurdish women who gave their soul to the protests. Kurdish women are struggling in four parts of Kurdistan, the resistance in each part has become a role model for us. The change took place in every part of Kurdistan under the influence of the PKK. The women who fought in the mountains, built their lives there, and were willing to die for their freedom guided us."

THE FREEDOM OF IRANI WOMEN

Stating that they were inspired by the Rojava Revolution, Razavi said: “PKK and Öcalan influence us. I hope women will embrace this idea more because PJAK is in Rojhilat as a role model. A world where women live freely and without oppression, side by side with men, is possible. If Iranian women support Öcalan's ideas, they will achieve this."

'ÖCALAN'S IDEAS MUST BE KNOWN'

Referring to the lack of news from Abdullah Öcalan, Razavi said: “If Öcalan's words guide actions even in Iran today, people need to know his ideas. Öcalan needs to meet with his family and lawyers. The rights not granted to Öcalan are granted to everyone. Öcalan has a political identity, he needs to be approached differently. Öcalan's freedom is the freedom of the Kurds and Kurdistan, everyone should fight for this."

'THIS CENTURY WILL BE THE CENTURY OF WOMEN'

Emphasizing that women are fighting for freedom all over the world, Fatemeh Abbasi, a female activist from Rojhilat said: “When you look at all this, Öcalan's idea finds its perfect counterpart. So this century will truly be the century of women. Women are at the forefront in every country, because women know that life will not go on like this, there will be a free life. They are protesting for this. It is important but incomplete, because women should spread the organization more. They must reach more people and fight not only for their own country but also for other countries. Women should take a little more responsibility."

'ABDULLAH ÖCALAN MUST BE FREE'

Underlining that freedom of Abdullah Öcalan's freedom must be ensured, Abbasi said: “It is Öcalan's ideas that give women a different perspective on life and living. Democratic Confederalism is important because it offers another life. Öcalan's ideas and himself must reach the people. Öcalan, who forms the basis of the Democratic Nation paradigm, can put an end to the ethnic war in the region."
