WAN - TJA members, who continue their work within the scope of the "Towards freedom with jin, jiyan, azadi" campaign, said that they will respond to the moral political society and private war policies.

The special war policies implemented in the cities of Kurdistan in the 1990s with unsolved murders, village burnings, harassment and rape methods have continued with attacks on women and children's bodies in recent years. Against all these policies, the Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinen Azad – TJA) announced the declaration of the campaign, which will last until International Women's Day on March 8, 2024, with a wide participation in Riha on September 15, with the slogan "Towards freedom with jin, jiyan, azadi" . TJA activists, who reach women and carry out awareness activities within the scope of the campaign, emphasize the importance of self-defense and the purpose of special war.

'OBEDIENT PEOPLE ARE WANTED TO BE CREATED'

Stating that war policies in Kurdistan are carried out with different methods, TJA member Öznur Evin said: “It is a conscious choice that the police and soldiers brought to the region are younger because we see from the examples reflected in the press that they are trying to drag women into prostitution under the name of 'love'. In this context, we can say this; In Kurdistan, not only a special war is being implemented against prostitution and drugs, but also emotional war policies are being carried out. They are trying to present a submissive profile by keeping women away from organization and politics. In this context, as the Kurdish women's movement, we will struggle and work harder. We continue to work on establishing self-defense workshops and women's freedom workshops."

'WE WILL HOLD SPECIAL WAR WORKSHOPS'

Stating that the system is trying to do with special war policies what it cannot do with brute force, violence and conflict, TJA activist Eylem Saruca said: "An isolation policy is being carried out against the society because they are aware that the people are fighting for the freedom of Kurdistan and a democratic Turkey. For this reason, the system implements a policy of binding young people to itself and turning them into agents. It aims to draw women into a corrupt life and into dirty relationships with law enforcement officers under the name of so-called love."

Adding that they will defeat special war policies with an organized and conscious struggle, Saruca said: “We are carrying out our work in every field. Of course, the system does not stop, but we stand against this system with self-defense, both with young people and women. In recent years, he started the 'Em xwe diparêzin(We protect each other)' campaign. We got very good results from this campaign. Our work will still be the same size. We will hold special warfare and self-defense workshops.”

'WOMEN WILL CREATE THE MORAL POLITICAL SOCIETY'

Emphasizing that the special war is a project aimed at women, TJA activist Mehtap Demirkaya said: The main theme of the dirty war in Kurdistan is women, and the people who oppose this war are women. That's why the system carries out a policy of war against women and deepens it day by day. The degradation of women is the degradation of moral and political society. In this sense, all governments target women in Kurdistan, Turkey and the Middle East. It is our duty as women to protect the nature, morality and society that we have created. In this way, we can respond to the policies of war by weaving a moral political society."

Stating that they will unite in an organized manner against special war policies, TJA member İlknur Aydın said: “We are faced with a dirty war against women. We must fight consciously and organizedly to respond to this war."
