AMED- It was revealed that Celil Begdaş, who was among those kept waiting in front of the HDP Amed Provincial Organization building upon the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and who came to the fore with his provocative attempts, was sentenced for "intentional murder" and "escaped" under the supervision of the police.

It was revealed that Celil Begdaş, who was the leader of the group that was kept in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) provincial building in Amed upon the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and who was on the agenda with his provocative actions and aggressive attitude, was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the crime of "deliberate murder".

According to the news in Sözcü; An investigation was launched after Begdaş, who was taken into custody, escaped from the courthouse. Begdaş, who is known for calling the former Minister of Internal Affairs Süleyman Soylu directly from his mobile phone and asking for support on issues such as the appointment of police and soldiers and the placement of unemployed people while sitting in front of the HDP provincial building, went to the Diyarbakır Courthouse on May 4, 2023. He was going to file a criminal complaint saying "HDP is kidnapping children to the mountains". However, when entering the courthouse, he was caught in the routine ID check by the police. He was accompanied by a police officer assigned to him on the grounds that "he has no life safety". During the GBT (General Information Gathering) check, it was revealed that Begdaş was sentenced to 45 years in prison by the Izmir 4th High Criminal Court for "intentional murder". Moreover, the sentence was approved by the 1st Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals.

THERE ARE 17 CRIMINAL RECORDS

Begdaş, who has a record of 17 separate crimes such as "deliberate injury, threat, insult, plunder", was referred to the execution prosecutor's office for legal proceedings. The prosecutor issued an arrest warrant and asked for him to be delivered to prison. Meanwhile, Begdaş said that he was going to the toilet then allegedly called Süleyman Soylu and asked for help, stating that FETO members had set a trap for him.

'ESCAPE' UNDER POLICE CUSTODY

Two police officers took him out of the courthouse, saying, "We will take him to prison." Begdaş, who was taken to prison, allegedly "escaped". In their statements, the two police officers stated that their vehicle broke down on the road, and when they got out of the vehicle to repair the breakdown, Begdaş opened the back door and jumped out of the vehicle, and although they gave a "stop" warning because it was dark, he ran into the side streets and made them lose track of him.

NO PROSECUTION OF THE POLICE

A decision of non-prosecution was given to the two police officers against whom an investigation was launched. A lawsuit was filed against Celil Begdaş in the criminal court of first instance for the crime of escape, and an arrest warrant was issued for him for the second time.
