WAN - Stating that the international conspiracy was frustrated by the struggle of the Kurds, OHD lawyer Veysi Güneş stated that the people's struggle is the only guarantee of Abdullah Öcalan's freedom.

The international conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, which was the first step of the intervention of global powers in the Middle East, also marked the beginning of the Third World War. The conspiracy, which started when Abdullah Öcalan, who is seen as the biggest obstacle to the Greater Middle East Project (BOP), left Syria on October 9, 1998, continued when he was brought to Turkey on February 15, 1999 and put in Imralı Island. Global powers, which put liquidation plans into action against the insistence on a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue, spread the Third World War, which started with a conspiracy, to the entire Middle East geography. The response to Abdullah Öcalan's insistence on a democratic solution, which he continued in his solitary cell after the conspiracy, was the deepening of war policies.

There has been no news from Abdullah Öcalan for 35 months. All national and international efforts of lawyers against the lack of news from Imralı remain inconclusive. Evaluating the Imralı legal system on the 25th anniversary of the international conspiracy, Veysi Güneş, one of the lawyers of the Lawyers for Freedom Association (ÖHD) Wan Branch, said that the Kurds, who frustrated the conspiracy and isolation system, are the only guarantee of Abdullah Öcalan's freedom.

Stating that the hegemon powers want to start a new process in the Middle East with the policy of "divide, disintegrate and rule", Güneş said that their first target is PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Stating that international powers violated the law and launched an attack against the Kurds in the person of Abdullah Öcalan, Güneş noted that the conspiracy frustrated these plans with the resistance of the Kurds and their embrace of Abdullah Öcalan.

'THE CONSPIRACY WILL NOT ACHIEVE ITS OBJECTIVE'

Pointing out that the unlawfulness continued after Abdullah Öcalan was brought to Turkey, Güneş said: “Both Mr. Öcalan's attitude, his universal perspective and the loyalty of the people made the conspiratorial forces withdraw. The system then implemented a policy of nullifying and devaluing Mr. Öcalan's ideas, preventing his ideas from coming out. The people responded to these policies every time. People demonstrated with their resistance in every field the attitude of those who will not accept a peace or a solution without Mr. Öcalan. In this context, the end of this process will be determined by the Kurds and their supporters, not the conspiratorial forces. As long as the Kurds exist, the conspiracy will never achieve its goal. As long as the resistance, attitude and ownership of this people continues, the conspiracy and isolation of the system will be in vain."

'THE RIGHT TO HOPE HAS BEEN DISPOSED'

Stating that Turkey designed the laws according to Abdullah Öcalan after the conspiracy, Güneş said: “This situation is against the constitution and universal law principles. However, when it comes to the Kurds, the Kurdish freedom struggle and Mr. Öcalan, the conspiratorial forces stand in a place that disregards their own law. We are entering the 25th year of the conspiracy and Turkey is facing the decision of the ECHR. However, a special regulation was made in the execution law in Turkey. This is Öcalan's arrangement. With this regulation, the 'right to hope' of a person facing aggravated life imprisonment has actually been eliminated. We can see how the law has been trampled on and arbitrary regulations have been made since the conspiracy process."

'NEW REGULATIONS MUST BE DISCUSSED'

Underlining that new regulations regarding Abdullah Öcalan must be discussed on the 25th anniversary of the conspiracy, Güneş said: “The conditions of conditional release now need to be discussed. Ensuring Mr. Öcalan's physical freedom will not be achieved through legislation. Because Mr. Öcalan is not someone who is detained legally, he is detained by trampling on the law. Ultimately, the attitude of the public is the only guarantee of Mr. Öcalan's physical freedom."

'LET'S PROTECT HUMAN RIGHTS'

Reminding that they carried out a study signed by lawyers in 2022 to demand a meeting with Abdullah Öcalan against the Imralı isolation, Güneş said: “With the signatures of 1,330 lawyers, we conveyed to the Ministry of Justice both our demand to meet with Mr. Öcalan and the request for his meetings with his lawyers to be regulated. However, the ministry's attitude at this point is unconscionable and unlawful. There is no provision in the execution law that prevents the convict from seeing his lawyer. We, lawyers, now say 'apply your law and the law of execution'. At this point, all lawyers should be on the side of freedom, democracy and human rights. We must protect human rights.”
