Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) met with women in Ben û Sen neighborhood of central Yenişehir distict of Amed (Diyarbakır) as part of the November 25, Day for the Elimination of Violance Against Women. In the workshop organized, all kinds of violence against women were discussed. In the workshop where women were informed in line with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's "Free Woman" paradigm, it was noted that women should raise their voices and stand in solidarity against all kinds of violence. 

 

In the event, women talked about the violence, mobbing and discrimination they face in their homes, on the streets and at work, noting that they gained awareness of women's struggle through the struggle raised by the Kurdish Women's Movement and that they developled their self-defense on this basis.

TJA came together with women in Mela Eliyê Jêr rural neighbourhood of Xana Axpar (Çınar) district. Many women attended the meeting. Psychologist Dilan Kanat Ülkegen spoke about the psychological effects of violence.
