Wan Association for Assistance to Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TUHAY-DER) participated in the campaign launched with the slogan "Sending money to prisoners is not a crime". Money was sent to prisoners from the Post and Telegraph Agency (PTT) in Cumhuriyet Street. 

 

Wan TUHAY-DER Co-chair Çetin Uyar pointed to the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in the statemend and said that the isolation has spread to all prisons. "Another dimension of the isolation policiy is that people cannot send money to their relatives and this is a reflection of isolation. We oppose these isolation policies and say 'enough is enough'. If you want to reach out for peace, first reach out to prisons and end the isolation. We want to break this isolation. Sending money to prisons is not a crime."
