Amed rally: People cannot be free until Öcalan is free

AMED - Citizens participating in the "Freedom for Peace" rally organised in Amed said, "Mr Öcalan holds the key to peace".

Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) are organising public meetings, various events and rallies with "Social Peace and Freedom Meetings" in order to socialise peace discussions based on the messages that emerged after the talks with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
 
"Freedom for Peace" rally was organised by DEM Party and DBP with the participation of thousands of people at İstasyon Square in Yenişehir district of Amed (Diyarbakır) yesterday. The citizens we spoke to at the rally said that peace is not possible without Abdullah Öcalan. Stating that they participated in the rally to demand the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan, the citizens said, "The key to peace lies in Mr Öcalan. We are not free until Mr Öcalan is free. We will start liberation with our Leader."
