AMED - TJA made a call to the democratic sectors of Kurdistan, Turkey and international institiutions and organizations to oppose the attacks against Alavis and Kurds in Syria and to embrace the "Rojava Revolution" and the Alevis.
Tevgera Jinên Azad (Free Women's Movement-TJA) made a written statement on the attacks, massacres and arrest policy of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which took control in Syria, against different identities, especially Alevis. In the statement, it was noted that it has become an aim to create a regime of fear with the images and photographs shared about the massacre.
Drawing attention to the attacks the statement reads: "We know the nation-statist governments, which have been openly condoning all these genocide policies in the Middle East, especially in Syria, in the last 15 years, from their silence on the genocidal massacres of ISIS, Al Nusra, FSA against different identities, and even from their multifaceted feeding of these gangs. Today, the ISIS-minded HTS gangs, which have only changed their name in Syria, commit crimes against humanity such as kidnapping and execution against the Alevis, they do not hesitate to destroy their places of worship. Against the insatiable ambitions of the male-dominated nation-states that give them this courage, Rojava women and all identities there show a historical resistance and struggle, revealing the truth that peoples can live together equally and freely. In Hama, Homs, Tartus, Latakia and many other settlements, there is a massacre against the Alevis everyday. Finally, it was publicised that the lifeless bodies of Reem Suleiman, her husband Ahmed Jamul and their son Fatar were found. Abducted and executed women, children and their families..."
The statement emphasised that the genocide policy against the Alevis is in effect reads as follows: "While HTS has put into affect a genocide policy against Alevis, the AKP-fascist government, with which it conducts war diplomacy, carries out an attack against the Kurdish people in Tishreen everyday. Journalists who struggle against the attacks, who show the resistance to the whole world together with the people who use the most basic right to protest, are massacred everyday by the warplanes of the government. Those who impose the massacre on them by ignoring the Rojava women revolution and the peoples revolution built at great cost must know that ignoring all toher different identities, especially our Alevi people, will bring destruction and chaos for everyone. Against male-dominated reactionary understandings that ignore women and are hostile to different identities, we call on all democratic segments from Kurdistan to Turkey, international institutions and organizations, especially women, to embrace the Rojava revolution and our Alevi people against the genocide in Syria in order to reveal the construction of a democratic and free Syria."
