HEWLÊR - The Presidency of the Federated Kurdistan Region made a statement on the meetting between the DEM Party İmralı Delegation and Nechirvan Barzani.
The Imrali Delegation met with Nechirvan Barzani in the city of Hewlêr (Erbil) in the Federated Kurdistan Region today. A statement was made by the Presidency of the Federated Kurdistan Region after the meeting.
The statement said that the Imrali delegation conveyed Abdullah Öcalan's special greetings and regards to Nechirvan Barzani and informed him about the process.
In the statement, Nechirvan Barzani told the İmralı delegation that they hoped that "the PKK would look at the process strategically and that this opportunity should not be missed".
HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY
The statement said that Nechirvan Barzani reiterated all support and assistance for the success of the peace process in Turkey. It is reads: "Nechirvan Barzani considered the process as an important and historical opportunity and stated that everyone should work for the success of the process and Kurdish-Turkish brotherhood, because peace is necessary for everyone in Turkey and the region".
In the statement, the delegation expressed their appreciation and gratitude for Neçirvan Barzani's efforts in the previous and current peace process and requested him to continue his support and assistance for the success of the process.
