HEWLÊR - Evaluating the visits in the Federated Kurdistan Region, Sırrı Süreyya Önder from the DEM Party İmralı Delegation stated that they will convey the messages conveyed to them by the party leaders to Abdullah Öcalan.
The contacts of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) İmralı Delegation in the Federated Kurdistan Region since 16 February ended yesterday.
The delegation consisted of İmralı Delegation members Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Keskin Bayındır, Foreign Relations Commission Co-speaker Berdan Öztürk, MPs Gülcan Kaçmaz Sayyiğit and Mehmet Kamaç and Asrın Law Office lawyers İbrahim Bilmez and Özgür Erol.
The delegation met with Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Massoud Barzani, Federated Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Chair Bafel Talabani, Federated Kurdistan Deputy Prime Minister Qubat Talabani, PUK Presidency Council Member Shahnaz İbrahim Ahmed and Federated Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.
Sırrı Süreyya Önder spoke to Mezopotamya Agency (MA) about the talks.
'WE WILL CONVEY TO ÖCALAN AND OUR INTERLOCUTORS'
Pointing out that the talks were held in a positive atmosphere, Önder said, "We received their suggestions, warnings and support for the process. These were very valuable for us and for peace. We will convey this to Mr Öcalan and our interlocutors."
Referring to the issues on the agenda during the talks, "We mainly conveyed the evaluations made by Mr Öcalan. We conveyed the questions he asked. We tried to formulate answers to them. In addition, the issue of national unity was among the issues discussed. We tried to create the widest possible social ground for peace," said Önder.
Stating that full support was given for the new process, Önder said, "They valued it highly. All the interlocutors we met with valued the messages and the call to be made. This, frankly, both honoured and hoped us".
Stating that the party leaders they met also had messages for Abdullah Öcalan, Önder added, "Of course they conveyed their support. There are also other details. We will convey this to Mr Öcalan during our visit."
