WAN - Seyithan Acar, a father who lost his two daughters in the clashed, expressed his support for Abdullah Öcalan's call and said, "I have suffered the pain of a daughter twice, but I don't want anyone else to suffer from this pain."

Support for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's historic "Call for Peace and Democratic Society" made on February 27th continues. While those whose children lost their lives in the clashed caused by the unresolved Kurdish issue embrace the process, Seyithan Acar, who lost his 2 daughters in the clashes and still has not received their bodies, called on everyone for the process to result in peace. Father Acar, who lost his daugher Seda Acar (Amaea Zilan Ararat) on September 28, 2017 in the Barzan region of the Federated Kurdistan Region and his second daughter Kübra Acar (Amara Zilan) on October 5, 2016 in an armed clash in Chele, said that they are behind the call and that the state must now take concrete steps.

Stating that both of his daughters who lost their lives had gone to fight for Kurdish identity and geography, Acar said, "Both of my daughters stayed there for two years. Since I was banned from leaving the country, I could not ask about the fate of the bodies of my two daughters. For this reason, we did not receive the bodies of either of them. Where are their bodies now? Arte they buried? We don't even know. This is part of the state's policy of oppression for years."

STEPS MUST BE TAKEN

Describing the talks with Abdullah Öcalan as promising, Acar said that the Kurdish people, who have been resisting despite all the dirty policies, will now get a result. Describing Abdullah Öcalan's step as historic, Acar added, "The Kurdish people and their leader have once again shown that they care about the millennia-old brotherhood of Turks and Kurds. Now we are waiting for a step from Mr. President. Now it is the state's turn, we have taken the steps we will take. We have paid a great price in this struggle. I have suffered the pain of a child, I don't want anyone else to suffer the pain of a child anymore. We want peace and after a long time we have been asking for it, the conditions have been created and Mr. Öcalan has made a call. It is now possible to live as brothers and sisters in this geography without discrimination of religion, language and race. Steps must be taken for this."

Calling on state authorities to take steps for peace, Acar stated that it is no longer possible to achieve anything without the Kurds. Emphasizing that it is time for Kurds to win, not to lose, Acar said, "Neither the state can get anywhere with death, nor we can get anywhere. If Mr. Öcalan has called for peace despite so much pain and the price he has paid, if he has decided to call for a ceasefire, this should be seen positively and we should bravely get involved in the process. The government and the opposition should not act cowardly, now they should also take matters into their own hands."

DEMANDS MUST BE FULFILLED

Emphasizing that there will be no winners in war, Acar demanded that the demands of the Kurdish people be fulfilled as we move towards a peace process and said, "Isolation must be lifted completely and prisoners must be released immediately. We want the doors of the cages to be opened and the pigeons that have been deprived of their freedom for years to be liberated. Thousands of our prisoners who are in prison for no crime need to be released. These steps must be taken. If at least this step is taken, it will create a sense of peace and confidence among Kurds."

Recalling the ceasefire declared by the PKK, Acar emphasized that the same step should be taken by the state. Calling on the state to stop the operations, Acar stressed: "All peoples should support peace. We support this peace. Everyone should embrace this call. Instead of provocations, they should do something for the call. We can establish this peace ground in a common way."
