ANKARA- Middle east specialist Mustafa Peköz, stating that USA will never negotiate with Turkey over Mimbic, said if Erdoğan's threats continues, the war will slide to El Bab.
Mustafa Peköz who follows the progess of the middle east's political and military progess closely , made evalutions on AKP General President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's operation signals to north and east Syria and on the negotiations with USA about Mimbic.
'NOTHING CHANGED ABOUT MIMBIC'
Peköz: "The fact that USA and DSG YPG withdrawed from Mimbic, and Mimbic has a structuring within the Democratic Syria Forces policies have been announced before. USA confirmed it several times. Usa announced that DSG has the control and USA and Russia is in control of the boundary layers. Nothing changed about Mimbic."
Peköz stating that Turkey thinks they can threaten USA and France using their effect on jihadists, said: " He gives the message of 'If you dont do what i say about Mimbic, I will make jihadist groups attack Mimbic.' What happens if Turkey does that? If Turkey does that El Bab will turn into a war zone.Turkey may lose its grip on El bab if they insist in this attitude. This is a indicator of Turkey's being stuck. Turkey sees that the conflict with jihadists is moving on to a objective ground and as an added precaution, Turkey draws the attention towards Mimbic and the east of Fırat River.
