İZMİR- 4 prisoners, 2 of them being sick prisoners have wrote to İHD and told about the violation of rights they are being exposed to from Manisa Type T Prison. Prisoners told "We are being tortured at the behest of prison administration".
Özgür Bektaşoğlu who is a 52 percent handicapped polio patient and Mehmet Tekin who has a tumour in his brain wrote to Human's Right's Association (İHD) with the 2 other prisoners they are staying with, Şemsettin Erdem and Özgür Çelik and told about the violation of rights they are being exposed to and called on for public sentiment .
STRIP SEARCH TORTURE
The prisoners wrote: "We are being kept in a cell even though there is no disciplinary penalty for any of us. We are being subjected to physical and psychological torture since the day we are brought here. Our friend Şemsettin Erdem was knocked out unconscious because he resisted the strip search. The other friends have been subjected to strip search as well. We are being tortured at the behest of the prison administration." in their letter.
