The call for solidarity about Güven's hunger strike

İSTANBUL- Support for the DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven who's in a hunger strike for nine days to protest the segregation of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan is expanding. While representatives of women's organizations expressed that they support the  hunger strike, Spokesperson of HDK, Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, called for breaking the segregation.
 
The hunger strike Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari parliamentarian Leyla Güven started to protest the segregation of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan is in its 9th day today. Solidarity statements keep coming for Leyla Güven who was arrested on January 31 because of her work in DTK and her comments about Efrin.
 
The  People's Democratic Party  Co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, HDP Istanbul Provincial Co-Chair Esengül Demir and Kırkyama Women's Solidarity Member Tülay Korkutan who supported the hunger strike,  asked for the immediate release of Güven.
