Charlie Chaplin's film adapted to Kurdish theater

İSTANBUL-  Charlie Chaplin's film Great Dictator was adapted to Kurdish theater. The play will be staged by Jiyana Nû with the name "Tenê Ez".
 
The political satire  'Great Dictator' directed by Charlie Chaplin and featured by Paulatte Goddard in 1940 was adapted to Kurdish Theater.  The movie will be staged with the name "Tenê Ez".  The one-act play that lasts for 1 hour and 20 minutes will be staged by Teatra Jiyana Nû theater players's first performance will be on Mezopotamya Stage  on November 30- December 1.
One of the  Teatra jiyana Nû players Cihat Ekinci spoke to Mezopotamya Agency about the one act play.
 
Ekinci underlining that the movie Great Dictator continues to be relevant at all times said that fascism and racism reappeared in Turkey and in the world nowadays added that's why they chose to work on this project.
 
Ekinci stating that as Kurdish theater players, they express themselves with theater added: " There is something interesting about the movie. The period Charlie Chaplin wrote this scenerio, Hitler and fascism was not at their peak yet. The movie was shot before there was a jewish massacre and before the concentration camps even exist. We are going through a period where racism strikes again and the arts has to run it's rhymes and never take a step back.
 
Ekinci invited all theater lovers to the firs performance of "Tenê Ez".
