ANKARA- Haber-Sen met with the journalist working in the fields to gather a report to present at the UNİ Global Union to be held on December 14th. Haber-Sen President Musa Özdemir said they will attend to the meeting that is going to be held in Brussels with more than 20 countries' journalists, said they wanted to talk to the journalists working in the fields in Turkey to inform them about it.
In the meeting in which the forced retirement of TRT workers was expressed, Haber - Sen General Secretary Burak Ustaoğlu said he did not get a respond to his question " If the employment capacity is exceeded and therefore people were discharged with a law decree, how many new personel did TR employed?" Ustaoğlu mentioning the press credentials given by the presidency, said: " The presidency chooses who to give the press card . I could not renew my press cardi they informed me with a message that my application was canceled. We are in this together. Soon, police will intervene to the photos we take out on the street. Ankara is the place a journalist feels the oppresion the most. And we are not protected."
Artı Tv Reporter Sibel Hürtaş who reminded that the investigation about her is continuing, said there is no way she can get a press credential by the presidency. Hürtaş who underlined that even in an action occuring outdoors the police asks for the presedential press card, said: " When they ask me if I am a journalist, I say I am a protester. Because when you say you are a journalist, they want to see the presedential press card, otherwise they won't let you cover the news. It is easier to be a protester to get inside and recieve information."
The report that will be prepared will be presented at Global Union meeting by Haber-Sen.
