Irish European Parliament Deputy Martina Anderson visited Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven who is on a hunger strike with the demand of the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
'SHE'S SO WEAK YET SHE'S SO STRONG'
Anderson made a social media share after her visit. Anderson's message is as follows:
"I left 55 yearr old Kurdish Hunger Striker Leyla Güven very worried & yet very inspired. 104 days on, she’s so weak & yet shes so strong.Turkish Government could end the hunger strike by simply implementing its own laws and end Abdullah Öcalan’s isolation. He’s 70 years old & is in prison over 20 years."
