DİYARBAKIR- 181 names including politicians, presidents and executives of non-governmental organizations, and association managers attended the Newroz celebrations in Diyarbakır where hundreds of thousands of people marked with their coloursç
Many people domestic and foreign attended the Newroz Celebrations in Diyarbakır held with the slogan 'We will definately win, we will break the isolation'. Among the participants were the Kurdish politicians, as well as the heads and administrators of trade unions, institutions and organizations, and journalists. Honorary guests of the celebration were Sabiha Temizkan, the daughter of DTK Co-Chair Leyla Güven, who had been on hunger strike for 134 days, demanding that the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan be terminated and Mother Havva Gezen and father Şehmus Gezen, parents of Zülküf Gezen who ended his life protesting the isolation in Tekirdağ No 2 Type F Prison.
Zülküf Gezen's family will also be starting the fire of Diyarbakır Newroz.
