Fevsi Aslan, Mehmet Haşim Aslan, Ömer Aslan, Kasım Aslan, Halil Aslan and their cousin Şerif Aslan was taken under custody during a home raid on October 19,2018 in Urfa, Suruç. Aslan family who are being keot in Urfa TYpe T Prison, are on hunger strike for 44 days demanding the termination of the isolation. Their 76 year old father Mehmet Aslan, stating that they were unlawfully detained and being kept under very harsh conditions, said 'Like thise are not enough, they are on hunger strike and they are detoriorating."

 

Aslan who stated that every one is blind and silent when something happens to the Kurds, said:"My children are struggling against tyranny. Their aim is not to overthrow the government. They want justice. But the government is betraying the Kurdish. They tortured my children and my grand children in front of me. They battered them with gunstocks and kicked them while taking them under custody. I could not do anything but to cry. Now they are all on hunger strike.Their demands must be met before something happens to them. We want the hunger strikes to be over."
