ŞIRNAK - Yılmaz Uğur who is on hunger strike for 57 days in Şırnak Prison and hospitalized twice last week, said: "Our hunger strike will continue until the isolation is removed. We are determined."
Humans' Rights Association (İHD) Şırnak Branch Prisons Commission published a report about the hunger strikers stating that weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding, badsores and vision loss have started.
20 year old Yılmaz Uğur is a sick prisoner who started the hunger strike on March 1.He was sentenced to 8 years in prison witht he accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization'.Uğur is in prison more than a year and hospitalized twice kast week.
His mother Emine Bage who visits her son weekly, said he lost a lot of weight and he is tired all the time. Bage said: "He is all that I have. I don't know what I would do if he were to die.The government doesn't care if all our children dies. No one talks about them.We don't have a home, we don't have our children. We are waery. Enough is enough." Bage demanded the demands of the prisoners to be met.
