KOCAELİ - The families of the hunger striking prisoners staged a sit in in front of Gebze Prison against all prevention one more time. The families ,reacting to the police, said: "We will come everyday and sit here until our children recieve a message from İmralı and end the hunger strikes."
The sit in families of the hunger striking prisoners stage in front of Gebze Type M Women's Prison, continued on its 44th day. HDP İstanbul PM Züleyha Gülüm, Lawyers for Freedom Association (ÖHD) and many citizens accompanied the families who gathered in front of People's Democratic Party (HDP) Gebze District Building.
Families who came to the prison, started the sit in with slogans and applause. Families who sat for a while, were surrounded by the police. The families who were told that the sit in was prohibited by the police, reacted and said: "We are here to stop our children from dying. What prohibition are you talking about?"
The families said : "We will come everyday and sit here until our children recieve a message from İmralı and end the hunger strikes." and left went back to HDP Gebze District Building.
