İSTANBUL - According to the latest data from Eurasian Research, 180 thousand more voters that did not vote in March 31 elections, will vote for İmamoğlu, the participation of the AKP voters are decreasing and the vote gap is wider than expected.

Kemal Özkiraz, President of Eurasia Research, one of the three survey companies that know the results of Istanbul and many metropolitan cities correctly in the March 31 elections, shared the latest data collected from the field with the Mesopotamia Agency (MA).

Özkiraz stating that there is  no change in the campaing of Republican People's Party (CHP) candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, said: "Yıldırım completely changed the campaign. He's trying to show that he's a soft profile. He's trying to make himself different from his party and leader. He is playing at the Kurdish voters but fails to make them forget the last three months. His dicourse that they are the actual victims is not working.

VOTE GAP IS WIDER THAN EXPECTED

Özkiraz shared the following data from the field:

"* We see that participation is low in AKP voters and CHP voters are very busy.

* The vote gap will be greater than expected. Every election CHP voters thought ‘we can't win anyway’,but now the AKP voters say that. That will make the difference.

* There is change in the Kurdish voters. On March 31, 200,000 Kurdish voters who did not go to the polls will go to the polls and more than 180 thousand will vote for Imamoglu.

* Erdoğan could not find what he hoped for in the broadcasted TV debate, so they are blaming to the moderator. That is why the moderator was selected from the opposite neighborhood. Erdogan was forced to go on the field, but I do not think he can recover from this point.

In the elections, the elements 'Canan Kaftancıoğlu and to protect the ballot boxes', 'Imamoglu and the determination in winning the election' and 'Cancellation of only one of the four votes is nonsense'  will determine June 23.

Özkiraz evaluating the statement of CHP Group vice President Özgür Özel, warning not to take the surveys seriously, said: "They are rightly afraid of lethargy". Özkiraz pointed out: "No voters stand back from going to the polls because they think they are winning but some voters may choose not to go to the polls because they know they are losing. While the perception of Mansur Yavaş winning in Ankara elections  increased participation in Çankaya, the participation decreased in the AKP districts. The same situation did not happen in Istanbul, participation in many CHP districts remained below average. Because no one expected Imamoglu to win, everyone except us and two survey companies like us predicted that Yıldırım and İmamoğlu would be neck and neck. Now the situation has changed."
