ADANA - Wernicke Korsakoff patient Kemal Özelmalı who is being kept at Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison is getting worse day by day according to his brother Alaattin Özelmalı. Brother Özelmalı demanded his brother to be released.
While Wernicke Korsakoff patient Kemal Özelmalı who is being kept at Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison who has a medical report stating that he can not remain under prison conditions is not being released, his condition is getting worse day by day. His brother Alaattin Özelmalı who visited him last week,stating that he is deteriorating, demanded his release.
'HE IS GETTING BY WITH THE HELP OF THE OTHER PRISONERS'
Özelmalı who has other diseases with his bowels, kidneys, prostate, hearing and vision is also on hunger strike demanding his release. Özelmalı who has dementia, is only able to get by with the help of the other prisoners.
Alaattin Özelmalı who stated that he can't remember the basic things and getting worse every day, said: "We are concerned about his life. His dementia is getting really bad. Keeping a person in prison like this, is atrocious. He is afraid to sleep because he thinks he will die. Kemal Özelmalı is afraid of sleeping. This is horrendous. We demand his release."
