İSTANBUL - HDP MP's, stating that the appointment of the trustees is against the will of the peoples, said: 'Let's raise Gandhi's style of action against the trustees'

 

 

Reaction to the dismissal of the elected mayors of People's Democratic Party (HDP) from the mayorships of Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin keeps coming. While a large number of citizens are being taken under custody in the protests in different cities, the party buildings in provinces and districts are being blockaded by the police. 

 

 

HDP Şırnak MP Hasan Özgüneş who emphasized the importance of organizing and stating that the liberation of people passes through organizing, said: "It is our call to the forces of democracy. We do not want them to accept the enforced trustees. They must respond in a legitimate and democratic way. They should include themselves in the plans of HDP and affiliated groups. We will never accept this. We must raise a Gandhi style of action if necessary against the trustees. We as a party will sure try this. We are very determined. We will not be silenced. We are calling on to the forces of democracy, including CHP. Those who wants democracy, freedom, human rights and a brotherly life in this country, should stand up against these kind of practices with us."
