MARDİN - HDP MP Kemal Bülbül who stated that the appointments of trustees is a result of the suppression plan of AKP, said: "They pull the pin of the grenade in case of a possibility of peace. One night they can go to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Izmir.
On September 11, 2016, the AKP government dismissed the co-mayors of 98 municipalities, 3 metropolitan, 10 provinces, 63 districts and 22 towns of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), a component of the People's Democratic Party (HDP). He appointed a trustee in place. In the March 31 local elections, the HDP reclaimed most of the municipalities from the trustees. The AKP re-established trusteeship policy 4 months after the local elections, dismissing HDP's 3 metropolitan municipal co-mayors and replaced them with trustees.
Bülbül stating that the state has implemented all kinds of policies in order to destroy the struggle of the Kurdish people and that the only policy that the state has not implemented is “social peace", said: "Mr. Öcalan is calling on for social peace. Now that the state is not capable of securing social peace, someone pulls the pin of the grenade everytime a possibility of peace comes up to prevent it. In this case, the most basic thing to be done in the face of this is to use the legitimate right to resist and use your democratic rights."
