Sit in in Diyarbakır on its 6th day

DİYARBAKIR - The sit in HDP people started in front of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality is on its 6th day.

 
The protests against the dismissal of the co-mayors of Diyarbakir, Mardin and Van metropolitan municipalities continues. The sixth of the HDP's sit-in action started again on Lise Street today. HDP deputies Feleknas Uca, Meral Danış Beştaş, Saliha Aydeniz, Ayşe Acar Başaran, Dersim Dağ, Remziye Tosun, Garo Paylan, Musa Farisoğulları, Nurettin Maçin, Semra Güzel, Hişyar Özsoy and Kemal Peköz, the dismissed mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Selçuk Mızraklı, district municipal co-mayors, Peace Mothers, HDP and DBP executives, TJA activists and numerous citizens participated. 
 
Meanwhile, the front of the DBB building and the surrounding area was blocked by the police. While Elazığ Avenue and its side roads are closed to traffic with barriers, TOMAs are located on all roads. Lise Street where the sit in takes place is also closed with police barriers. 
 
A statement reading is expected after the sit in.
