DİYARBAKIR - A brawl broke out between pro-government media workers outside the HDP offices in Diyarbakir as they jockeyed for position to cover the sit-in protests they have been encouraging.

The government controlled press has been encouraging people to join the sit-in protests as part of a move to brand the HDP terrorists amid false claims the party is sending people to join the PKK.

Police have been ferrying people to the sit-in and providing their food while the pro-AKP press has devoted its coverage to the demonstration, camping out in front of the HDP offices.

The pro-government media workers came to blows as they tried to get the best position to cover the protests.

Other journalists and photographers intervened to stop the fight which was separated by the police.

But our reporters faced pressure not to publish photographs and details of the fight in a bid to censor the embarrassing fall-out.
