DİYARBAKIR - HDP MP Remziye Tosun and the municipal councilors who came in front of the Sur Municipal building after the detention of Co- Mayor Buluttekin were battered by the police.
Sur Municipal building located in Diyarbakır was raided by the police early this morning. Enterance to the building was blockaded by the police and the armoured vehicles. Sur Co-Mayor Buluttekin and Municipal Councilor Yılmaz Eken was taken into custody while the search in the building continued. It was stated that there was a confidentiality order on the file about Buluttekin and Eken while both were taken to Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate.
TOSUN AND THE MUNICIPAL COUNCILORS WERE BATTERED
Following the raid on the municipal building, HDP MP Remziye Tosun, municipal councilors, municipality workers and the people gathered in front of the building demanding to enter the building. Police battered Tosun and the councilors in the scuffle.
Remziye Tosun reacting to the violence, said that the raid was an usurpation of the will of the people and that they would not accept it. The search in the building continues.
