DİYARBAKIR - It was stated that HDP MP Dersim Dağ's brother Azad Dağ was tried to be kidnapped by the police who followed him but was released after the reactions.

It was stated that Peoples's Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Dersim Dağ's elder brother Azad Dağ (27) was tried to be kidnapped by the police on February 1 by policeman in plain clothes. Dağ, who was stopped by the police while he was waiting for his sister, who is a member of the parliament, was stopped by the police for a general information screening (GBT) and tried to be detained by the police who claimed there was a warrant for his arrest. Dağ, who did not have a warrant for him, reacted to the situation.

Dağ who was forced into a Ford Ranger to be searched, rejected to get in the car. Dağ demanded to call his lawyers when the tension increased but the police officers did not let him call his lawyers. Then, Dağ called his sister HDP MP Dersim Dağ, and she came to the scene.

Dağ said: "I did not have any warrant for my arrest but they insisted that I did. The white haired police officer made a few phone calls and when they could not find anything to keep me, they told me I was free to go." Stating that the incident was unlawful, Dağ said: "They could have forced me into the car and impose various kinds of things on me. I can not guess what they could have done if they managed to get me in that car. This is not a random thing. We have seen so many extrajudicial executions by unknown assailants in this country. They can do anything, anytime. This can happen to anyone in this society. This is a continuation of a policy. They know where I live, they know where I work. They know what I do through the day. This disturbs me. If we don't stand against these things, they can grow out of proportion very fast. Do not submit to these unlawful applications. You should not hesitate. Expose the people doing such things."

HE APPLIED TO IHD

Dağ, stating that he applied to Humans' Rights Association (IHD) for legal aid, said they will file a criminal complaint about the parties involved.
