Although mobility has decreased in the border cities in the south and east region of Turkey due to the spread, the streets are still not empty and the hospitals are already full. Alerts are frequently announced in the district of Silopi in Şırnak which is on the border of Iraq Federal Kurdistan Region. Silopi Municipality, which is under the management of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), continues its disinfection activities continuously.

 

DISINFECTION ACTIVITIES CONTINUE

 

Co-Mayor Adalet Fidan demanded the citizens to stay at home. Se said that they started to disinfect the public transportation, places of worship and sanctuaries, parks and crowded places. Indicating that they continue to disinfect all workplaces, public buildings and similar places Fidan stated that their efforts in this direction will continue.

 

EMPLOYEES ARE GIVEN LEAVE OF ABSENCE

 

Stating that they are trying to find a solution by listening to the demands and complaints of the citizens by their crisis desk, Fidan said, “We asked for the lists of citizens over 65 years old and who are  chronically ill. We also detect the families with poor economic conditions. We also get ready for a probable curfew as we establish commissions of 3 people in each neighborhood. We also gave a leave of absence to all our municipal employees with chronic illnesses"
