VAN - In the Esenyamaç district of Başkale which was quarantined due to coronavirus, it was revealed that only the family of the child that was diagnosed with coronavirus was tested. In the neighborhood which's enterance and exit was blockaded by the gendermerie, more than 3 thousand people live as the Neighborhood headman Ayhan Korkmaz said. Korkmaz also said that the child may have contacted other people than his family.

 

 

NEIGHBORHOOD UNDER QUARANTINE

 

Expressing that the child aged 16-17, who works at the textile factory in Istanbul, returned to his home after the office's closure due to the epidemic, Korkmaz said that the test result of the child who was hospitalized on March 26 was positive. Noting that the neighborhood was quarantined, Korkmaz said that the child's condition was good and that he was under observation in the city center of Van.

 

ONLY THE CHILD'S FAMILY GOT TESTED

 

Expressing that the health teams coming to the neighborhood only had the child's family tested, said: "No general health screening was done in the neighborhood.The child was visited by people on his return from the hospital accordingly with our traditions. He has friends. It is wise to assume that he had contacted with other people. More people who might have contacted him should be tested."
