ANKARA- The Minister of Family and Social Policies Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk announced that new measures are announced for the elderly and the diasbled against coronavirus pandemic which will be applied in the public institutions which are affiliated to the ministry.
Minister Selçuk stated that "In the shift system of 14-days the personnel arrived from abroad will be subject to coronavirus test."
Other measures listed in the guide published by the Ministry includes the following:
* The food lists will be planned on a protein and vitamin C weighted diet especially for the diabetic elderly. The instititutions will be provided with packed bread and no food or fruit delivery will be made from the outside.
* The elderly and the disabled residing in the institutions will be enabled to talk with their families and relatives on video-calls regularly.
* Social Isolation Rooms are established to protect the elderly and the disabled.
* In case of any elderly/disabled citizen is discharged from the hospitals, these citizens will be quarantined for 14 days.
* The elderly and disabled will be accomodating in single-rooms as much as we have organized and for the multiple rooms the distance between beds were arranged to be 2 meters.
