URFA - Continuing the sit-in for justice, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "We will not stay at home until the justice will prevails and we will continue to say rights, law and justice."
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 494. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Ferit Şenyaşar continues the sit-in, which his mother Emine Şenyaşar could not attend due to her illness, in the area called as the "Senyaşar family justice corner".
The family shared the following message from their Twitter account: “Today, my mother and I will stage our sit-in together with our brother Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been held unlawfully in Elazığ Prison for more than 4 years. Our fight for rights and law will continue until the unlawfulness ends, we will never lose our hope...”
Stating that despite her advanced age, his mother Emine Şenyaşar also came to visit his brother Fadıl Şenyaşar, who is being held in Elazığ Prison, Şenyaşar said: "Our brother is in good spirits, he believes that the justice will prevail and he will be set free. Even though the courthouse is a holiday, we will continue our struggle until the end and we will continue to say rights, law and justice."
'THEY CANNOT GET INTO SOCIETY'
On the family's twitter account, with the hashtag "A Turkey without State of Emergency", the family shared the following message: "Millions have supported the holy struggle we are waging. With our struggle, the truth was revealed. Those who were treated with honour are unable to go out into society today. We are grateful to everyone who stood by us against the persecution.”
