URFA - TMMOB Urfa IKK supported the sit-in, which has been held by the Şenyaşar family for 527 days.

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 527. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Emine Şenyaşar and her son arrived in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their home in Suruç district at a later hour than other days, as they had a weekly phone call with Fadıl Şenyaşar, who was held in a solitary cell in Elazığ Prison. Emine Şenyaşar and son, who have been prevented from sitting in the shade at the entrance of the courthouse by the police since August 8, started the sit-in in the "Senyaşar family justice corner" together with the TMMOB Urfa Provincial Coordination Board (IKK).

'WE ARE RIGHT'

Speaking about the sit-in that continued despite the obstacles, Ferit Şenyaşar said: “Our sit-in has been going on for 527 days. After the intervention on our sit-in on August 8, we staged sit-in every day with a non-governmental organization. Today, we are staging a sit-in with TMMOB IKK. There is a true story there. A massacre took place in Suruç State Hospital. The confidentiality decision regarding the case has been continuing for 4 years. Everyone sees this injustice. As long as this mother stands to stage the sit-in in front of the courthouse, this shame will remain the shame of everyone who rules the state. We want this shame to be removed as soon as possible. We have a brother who was illegally arrested. If justice was done, my brother would be with us. We will win because we are right. We will not leave here until justice is served."
