NEWS CENTER - Hundreds of lawyers around the world have applied to the Ministry of Justice, requesting a meeting with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
There has been no news for 18 months from PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held under heavy isolation conditions in İmralı Type F High Security Prison. Applications made by Abdullah Öcalan's family and lawyers are either rejected or left unanswered on the grounds of "disciplinary" penalties. Hundreds of lawyers from 22 countries applied to the Ministry of Justice to meet with Abdullah Öcalan and other prisoners on İmralı Island, Ömer Hayri Konar, Veysi Aktaş and Hamili Yıldırım. Lawyers will hold a press conference tomorrow (September 14) in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, regarding their application.
