BATMAN - The crowd that set off from Serhat and Batman for the Cudi March united in Gerçüş. DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz said: "We will not allow Kurdistan to be depopulated."

 

The crowd that gathered in Batman for the rally to be held towards Mount Cudi under the leadership of Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Mesopotamia Ecology Movement headed to Şırnak for the Cudi Rally. DTK Co-chair Berdan Öztürk, DBP Co-Chairs Saliha Aydeniz and Keskin Bayındır, HDP Group Deputy Chair Meral Danış Beştaş, representatives of non-governmental organisations and many party members and ecologists joined the Serhat column of the march at the exit of Gercüş.

 

'KURDISTAN WILL NOT BE DEPRIVED OF LIFE'

 

The crown headed towards Cizre with dozens of vehicles. A short statement was made before setting off. Stating that they are together against the plunder of nature, DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz said: "We are marching to Cudi for nature. Today we will head towards Cizre and from there we will go to Cudi. We will continue our protests until the plundering is over. Today, there are people coming from both Turkey and the alliance party and from all over Kurdistan. Kurdistan is attacked through the Kurdish people as always. This is a decision for total war. We will fight against it. We will not allow Kurdistan to be depopulated and deprived of life. Kurdistan will not be deprived of life." 

 

Following the speech, hundreds of people headed towards Cizre with applauses.
